Shop: Dyce!, on a zip pouch

Dyce (formerly known as Ike) originally came to the shelter as a stray, and he was pretty overwhelmed at first. He left the shelter for a time, but is back with us and has come so far from the scared boy he once was. Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said about him:

“Dyce is my new PACC favorite!! This young guy is so fun to spend time with, and I always look forward to walking him when I’m at PACC. I enjoy spending extra time with him so he can get all his business done and sniffs in. He loves being petted and is very affectionate and gives great kisses. Today, I tested him in the car and he did awesome. He either laid down or sat nicely and enjoyed the fresh air blowing on his face. We stopped at Feliz Paseos park and went on a little hike and he did awesome there as well. We even passed two high-energy dogs, and Dyce did not react to them at all.”

“Dyce is an awesome dog to take out. We headed to the park where is a very good walker. He enjoyed sniffing all the green and we took our time in the shade of the trees. We sat at the table for a while and he accepted treats with a sit and also some pets. He is a very nice dog!”

“Dyce has come such a long way since he first arrived at PACC absolutely terrified and afraid of everyone and everything. He walks on a loose leash, has relaxed body language and enjoys taking his time investigating all the interesting sights and smells. Dyce takes treats gently from my hand and appreciates pets. He needs time to get comfortable with new people that he meets, but he is friendly and sweet when he feels safe.”

Dyce has been tolerant, appropriate, and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He can be nervous when meeting new people, so is looking for a savvy family who will help him feel safe and a home without very young kiddos. Ask to meet Dyce today!
